I started my working life with The Grenadier Guards, with postings in Central London, Belize and Northern Ireland and then joined The Metropolitan Police Service in 1987. During this service I was posted throughout Wandsworth, Lambeth and Hammersmith in a variety of operational roles and retired in 2015 as a Police Inspector.

I have first-hand experience of dealing with critical incidents, working as a Public Order Commander, Tactical Firearms Commander and Duty Officer on a response team. I completed the Silver Commander’s course and have extensive experience in planning and leading police football operations working in both the UK and abroad.

I am experienced in partnership planning and working in Safety Advisory Groups and attended The Government Emergency Planning College at Easingwold gaining a level 4 NVQ in Spectator Safety Management.

In 2018 I became a full member of The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, a member of The security Institute and a Technical member of IOSH 

​

In October 2018 I moved to freelance status after working in the events industry since 2015.
